Bill Schachat, Managing Director

Before joining Emigrant in October 2008, Bill spent 10 years in CMBS origination and underwriting, largely with Citicorp Securities/Salomon Smith Barney/Citigroup Global Markets. As a VP & Team Leader, he sourced new fixed-rate loan business opportunities on a national basis. Earlier, Bill spent 10 years at Citicorp Real Estate in DC and then NY, first as a loan officer responsible for balance sheet lending and client development, and subsequently as a team leader in the loan workout area.

Bill has a BA in Economics and Philosophy from Brandeis University and an MBA from The University of Michigan, with a concentration in Finance.
